Really! I thought they were particularly wobbly, so less so or the same as standards.

So I'm told by the tyre place that fitted them and I assume they know what they are talking about :D

The majority of track day tyres have a stiffer side wall - you'll find out soon enough if you swap from a "normal" tyre to a track day specific tyre, especailly when cornering.
The difference is amazing :o

One thing to remember is that the tyres have to be road legal (E-marked).
Compounds is another issue...there's a lot of variables - track type, temperature, etc, etc.
Soft compound will give you great grip on a tarmac circuit but not likely to last very long.

I ordered a set of these yesterday afternoon from ears, and they were delivered this morning- impressive turnaround. They certainly look the part- definitely E marked and road legal. The proof of the pudding is in the eating though, but I'm looking forward to trying them.

Im now considdering the standard 15" rear wheels all round running a 215/45/15 tyre. That should make the acceleration a little better, id be saving on weight compared to my 18" and the 45 profile should be better compared to the standard 50.

Any thoughts on that??

Sorry I should have made that more clearer.

195/45/15 on the front, 215/45/15 on the rear :) Im just thinking about lowering the profile to reduce the sidewall wobble??

Thats what im thinking about at the mo. Currently I have 215/35/18 all round

I agree with Chris here - I wouldn't go lower than the Toyota standard at the rear - you shouldn't go lower than 225. I wanted 235, but they don't do that in my wheel size.
