The Servicetune car is driven by 3 drivers: Adam Levinson (age 25, number 20), Andy Bunney (age 43, number 21) and Nigel Levinson (age 56, the older one, number 24) from Cherry Burton, near Beverley, East Yorkshire. They not only compete against all the other competitors but really try to beat each other! Last year Adam was 7th overall, Andy was 9th overall and Nigel was 16th overall; prior to this first season of sprinting none have any recent motorsport experience, although Nigel used to do Banger racing in his youth (that explains a lot about his driving!) and Andy used to do some rallying.
The car is a 1991 red Toyota Celica GT4 ST185 which was purchased with a blown turbo and massive oil leak a couple of years ago to use as a track car. Since then it has been stripped out, battery relocated then bucket seats, full harness seat belts and roll cage added. AP brakes were fitted to the front and the suspension was replaced with Tein coilovers. The car had a complete makeover recently with a newly re-built and run-in forged engine, lightened flywheel, 4 paddle clutch, FMIC with a CS bonnet and bumper and an ST205 gearbox. Last year the car was running around 220 BHP and, although the car is still being set-up, the eventual aim is to achieve 280 to 300 BHP.
The car was retired at Rockingham after a couple of runs due to teething problems; hopefully these will all be sorted in time for Barkston.
